Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Solutions Development:
- Support the analysis, design, build, test and delivery of Falcon6 solutions as required
- Manage/ escalate risks and issues through to resolution. Implement solutions to prevent repetition of known issues/ risks and share knowledge of lessons learned.
- Conduct testing to ensure successful deployment/ implementation of all developments or new applications.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Understand and manage internal customer, and team, expectations, developing and maintaining excellent relationships throughout.
- Provide effective technical/ Support/ customer/ team communications throughout development/ warranty/maintenance cycles as required, or instructed by Project Manager or Delivery leads.
Team work:
- Share knowledge, analysis and support regarding own projects, learns and experience.
- Own, track, and manage, self-development and personal performance
Key Performance Indicators:
- Quality, accuracy, and efficiency of development and reporting code applied.
- Adherence and advocacy of Barclays Values.
- Contribution to team.
Requirements:
Experience:
- Hands on development experience in Mainframe. Falcon 6 experience is preferred
- Experience in CICS, JCL, Cobol, DB2
- Prior exposure to Java and Unix is preferred
- Strong reporting and communication skills
- Working on a number of tasks on a variety of different projects at the same time.
- Proven ability to build effective internal relationships
Knowledge:
- Awareness of innovative management information tools and systems
- Governance and compliance policies, standards, and procedures required to fulfill role e.g. data security, records management,
- Strong analytical skills including ability to provide observations and comment
- Wider-thinking and problem solving – identifying and delivering reporting through own initiative.
- Understanding of change management process.
- Certification from relevant technology provider (preferable)
